Delightful

This is a destination. Transport yourself to another world. What a sheer delight! If you are looking for a book to immerse yourself into, this is a beautifully woven story that will leave you missing the characters long after you’ve put it down.

A wonderful listen

The story is heroic and full of rich characters, some you love and some you don't. The heroes are women and children. The reading of the story is superb. The readers voice is entrancing.

a hidden gem. how is it that I had never heard of these books till now.. and such a pleasure to hear the narrator perform

Very Slow Second book

I enjoyed this book but was surprised at how little actually happened. The protagonist from the first book practically disappears. Lots of new characters are introduced. I really dislike how the narrator doesn't pause when she moves between different groups. I will keep listening to Book 3 but really hope this one moves a bit faster.

A Great Discovery

I was so glad to find this series. On par with my other favorite Australian fantasy author, Garth Nix. For serious high fantasy readers who like a plot with meat on it’s bones.

Fabulously written fantasy

Book 2 did not disappoint! This is working out to be a fabulous series. I love the readers accent and intonations. The story is well woven and yes you can guess what might happen but you do not know how or know the twists the story maker weaves. I will be reading more in this series and hopefully by this author too! Do you enjoy her stories and the reader’s voice as much as I do?

Dived into the 2nd book immediately upon completing the first. Beautifully written story and completely brought to life by the reader. Another world to immerse myself in! Magical, very happy with purchase.

Good follow up from first book

I think I liked this book more than the first. There was more action and the story started to take shape more. Still a bit long and some characters stories seem to hang but it was a good listen.

The twists continue.

Great continuation of the first in the series. The characters are believable and not constantly making the wrong decisions which frustrates me in many books. The narrator does a fine job as well.
