What I truly enjoyed from the read: The Other Side of Dare...


This was another one of this author's great Christian novels. It holds to the saying: " that what is done in the dark will come to light." I found this read so interesting that once I started reading I couldn't put it down until the end. Finding someone at their end but being able to turn your life around was truly part of this good read that was truly enjoyable.


This author writes so well of the reality of what can go on a 'todays church's' that will leaves you spell bound in the world that we live in today and are called Christians. I was definitely left saying wow...'Blessed Trinity' it is!

You Reap What You Sow!

I am a believer in "what goes around, comes around".... and what you plant today, you can expect to reap it's fruits tomorrow. I thought that I wouldn't enjoy this novel because I don't like being preached to. But based on the customer reviews and needing something different, I took the plunge.

I enjoyed the storylines so much that I've downloaded the next book in the series because I want to know who is the father of Paris' baby, who is Miss Esther Crowe, and whether Tiffany will divorce her husband, Darius, the serial cheater. This novel is bible based so there are virtually no sex scenes which was a relief for me after listening to a couple of Zuri Day's novels which are chocked full and explicit!.

In this novel, the shenanigans of church folks are some of the same shenanigans that happens in many churches today... real life stuff. You have Paris, the spoiled-brat daughter of the local politician, husband Darius "Dare" the serial cheater, the ex-stripper, and Jasmine the little girl who is up for adoption. And then there is the private detective who is hired by the one person you would least expect (that is if you haven't been paying attention). Everybody knows everybody else's business and, of course, everybody knows what the bible says about gossiping but gossip is what they do best!

If you are looking for lots of action, steamy sex scenes or a good ole thriller, this is not the book for you. But if you want something a little slower paced but keeps your attention well enough, then you might enjoy this one. Narrator, Shari Peele is as good as it gets.

This book had many twists and turns. The story never gets boring. I highly recommend this series.

It's somewhat predictable, but in a good way! All characters get what they deserve good or bad which I love. Definitely keeps the plot going!
