Resumen del Editor

Tucker, a problem-solving gunfighter still reeling from the bloody death of his childhood sweetheart, must contend with his survivor's guilt while dodging bullets in the increasingly violent Music City. Weeks after Tucker foils an assassination attempt on a client, he's confronted at his remote country home by men intent on killing him. Meanwhile, Tucker is forced to relive his secret violent past during an interview with a Nashville billionaire who wants his wife's "accidental" death investigated. But, before Tucker can take on a new assignment, he must deal with who wants to kill him and why.

Reseñas de la Crítica

The Other Side of Bad is visual, visceral, and a trip to the other side. (Steven Prati, author of, Cheers From the Bull & Finch Pub)

A great new tough guy, keeps your blood flowing.

What made the experience of listening to The Other Side Of Bad the most enjoyable?

There were plenty of action scenes that kept my attention and made me want more.

What other book might you compare The Other Side Of Bad to and why?

This book is comparable to any of the Lee Child Jack Reacher series or any of the Joe Pike, or Repairman Jack stories.

Have you listened to any of Eddie Frierson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I am not aware if I have heard any of Eddie Frieson's performances. There were a few occasions in this book where the recording quality changed and added reverb. It seemed to be when Tucker was talking to himself in his head. I thought that was a little unnecessary.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Just Finished the audio book The Other Side of Bad. I have to say it was fantastic. Yes Tucker is very much on the same level as Reacher, Joe Pike, Repairman Jack and John Rain. This first installment is great as it lays down a detailed history of Tucker giving you insight into what molded him as a compassionate tough guy. Finished it in barley 4 days. I did not want to stop listening. I listened at work and on my ride to and from and on my walks with my dogs. (The dogs got some extra walking in these last few days.)

Any additional comments?

I will be listening to the Valley of Redemption as soon as it is available.

OUTSTANDING!

A believable hero, full of flaws, in search of answers amid a Music City backdrop. Tucker (what is is first name?) has lived a life filled with highs and heartbreak. This story keeps you on the edge of your seat as you learn more about our hero ... and sometimes it is the journey that is most important. But throw in some mystery, history and gunshots --- you can't lose. I cannot wait for the next Tucker novel! :)

Redneck macho nonsense

I love Connelley, Crais, Parker, Sandford and other police/action authors, even Vince Flynn.
But this was all Brag, brag, brag.
Pick a subject and 'Tucker' can find a way to turn it to himself and brag.
The tiniest amount of action separated by hours of bragging and pointless fill. One chapter just to describe his not-so-special apartment.
Lots of retrospective about when he was the coolest, even as a kid.
The narrator does a good job until other voices are required.
I made it about half way through.
