I was unable to quiet the voice for many years, but for the first time in many years, I took the chance and applied the exposure therapy taught in this book, and I am so proud of myself. I learned in this book that obsession does not strike randomly and that every spiral I experience begins with a trigger, which is so true for me. Now I am mindful of my triggers. Indeed, a must-read if you suffer from OCD!

I am grateful for this book

My high school age daughter is having problems with overthinking and being stuck. This guide uses tried and medically tested techniques to change how she thinks. She now feels like she can make decisions and no longer stuck in a rut. The book uses different techinques so if one way doesnt vibe there are others. She did not jive with some but is thriving with others. Great book.

Great for changing how thinking occurs

I picked up The OCD Recovery Workbook for Teens & Adults hoping for something practical, and it really delivered. The mix of CBT, ERP, ACT, and mindfulness felt approachable instead of overwhelming. What I loved most was how the exercises broke down scary intrusive thoughts into steps I could actually work through. It didn’t feel clinical it felt doable. I’ve already noticed small shifts in how I respond to compulsions. This audiobook feels like having a supportive coach right in my ear.
