Chic book, but a good read (grunt, scratch)

I was very shocked that the story was worse than the movie. I love the movie so much.. this was disappointing. I don't like the music throughout.. no need and just silly. I also don't like... "this i know"... he says that often in this book and the longest ride. that was a great story but the wording was not how a normal person would speak

I’m sorry, I know this is the rare, but the movie was far better than the book. I’m not sure why Sparks is so highly rated as a writer when much of his prose sounded flat and lifeless to me. A disappointment.

This book is a great book that inspired one of my favorite movies. However, for the first time I was somewhat disappointed in the book rather then the movie.
