What an amazing, unique story!

I loved this! very well written and well performed, believable and deep characters, and an intriguing storyline and setting!

Deeper than it first appears

Wow! This story goes way deeper than it would first appear. An excellent read to discuss with your child or teen and to spur the moral imagination.

I loved the faith element of this book!

For anyone looking for a clean, dystopian type book with faith elements, this is it. This book is well written, fast paced, and hopeful in the end. I loved this book. I want to mention though that the narrator takes short quick breaths after each sentence. It isn’t as noticeable at standard speed, but it was very noticeable at 1.2x speed. Otherwise, the narrator has a very pleasant voice easily distinguishes between characters.

Imagination at its Best

I loved the slow reveal of truth in this story and how we are led to see both sides of the world. Truly a masterpiece of thought and adventure that reveals the importance of Light!

Amazing adventure!

A wonderful story for those who love stories of battle between good and evil, truth and lies, and light and darkness.

Need Less Jesus

The Nightmare Virus is a unique sci-fi story of people being caught in the "nightmare". A virus, which causes people to fall asleep and end up in the dream world, spreads rapidly. Cain desperately tries to find a cure while battling the virus himself. In the "nightmare", Cain battles the choice between good and evil.

It's a fascinating concept with a lot of imaginative elements. Towards the end, the author made the bizarre choice of introducing faith and Jesus to the story. As someone who loves the Bible, I get what the author was trying to do but it felt forced. This would've been an incredible book without using it as a metaphor for Christian morality.

Another great story from the legend herself, Nadine Brandes!

A beautiful and thoughtful parallel about a Christians walk with God and our journey through this life. The story was intriguing and exciting with interesting twists along the way.

page-turning adventure

I loved everything about this book except its ending. Intellectually I know why it ended the way it did. But emotionally I would have been happier with a different choice. That being said, this story is well-written, thought provoking, complex, and unique.
