some really good stories

short stories are interesting to me! they're leave you hanging often. but I love the challenge. the authors worked hard!

I enjoyed every story. After I post this review I am going to look for the prior years’ compilations.

What a collection!

I love short stories and have listened to a couple of these compilations before. I’ve never had so many varied and interesting stories before me before. I could not stop playing them (I listen to my audiobooks in the car). I also did not want a miss a sentence, which means that, with my attention on the traffic, I made maximum use of the rewind feature of Audible. Congratulations to each and every author. I am now your fan! I now know how I am going to spend my Audible credits: searching our works by each of you and enjoying my time in the car even more.

21 Mostly excellent stories.

This is great listening. Short stories give you the plot and characterizations of a novel without the redundant and superfluous elements that authors use to fluff out a salable book.
I liked about 18 of them and really loved a few. A few were too thin or cliche and/or propagandist. Narration was professional though not always well matched to the story or characters. The female’s southern accent was grating.
The vast majority involved a PI or cop’s experience. Over half were whodunits. There were excellent twists in most. (Snapshot and Totality were overly predictable, at least to me.)
Strongly recommend if this is your genre!

Veried Stories

There were so many mysteries many of them similar in plot I couldn't listen to them one after another so I bounced back and forth from this book to another mm
