They must somehow elude their many enemies while figuring out how to unite their comrades, who face seemingly insurmountable challenges of their own. There is no room for error, no time to hide. The only way success even seems possible is with a plan that might just destroy part of Desil’s world.

An excellent story with a very good narrator.
This series is very good & the last book doesn't disappoint either. Some of the characters are from the previous series & what a welcome they are to see now that they are older. its exciting, dramatic, entertaining, and pulls you in right from the start. I only wish this wasn't the last book.

well worth the listen

A great ending to a great series.
Each one of the mortal mage books was outstanding. With fantasy series, some authors tend to go side ways and almost forget about the original plot and goals. Not the case here. No loss of speed from the first to the last title. I will be listening to more by this author.
