Set amongst the British royal family, The Love Letter is a story of secrets, lies and unforgettable twists from Lucinda Riley, the beloved author of the Seven Sisters series.

‘An extraordinary cast of unreliable characters, a right royal mystery and surprises at every turn’ –
Lancashire Evening Post

Keeping secrets is a dangerous game . . .

1995, London. Sir James Harrison was one of the greatest actors of his generation. But, when he passes away, he leaves behind more than just a heartbroken family. He leaves a secret so shocking, so devastating that it could rock the English establishment to its very core . . .

Joanna Haslam is an ambitious young journalist, assigned to cover the legendary actor’s funeral. The great and the good of the celebrity world are there. But Joanna stumbles on something dark beneath the glamour: the mention of a letter Sir James left behind, the contents of which have been desperately concealed for over seventy years.

As Joanna peels back the veil of lies that has shrouded this secret, she realizes that there are other forces at work – forces that would prevent her from discovering the truth. And they’ll stop at nothing to reach the letter before she does . . .

I love all Lucinda Riley’s books and loved this book all the way to the end! The various characters were all very interesting. While I suspected, I really didn’t figure out the end until the end. However, without giving anything away, said end was a bit frustrating for me for sone reason.

Beautifully Written Mystery

Hard to put down. What an unbelievable ending. Can’t wait for the next book. Loves it.

She knows how to tell a story.

I like the authors creativity she created a storyline that made you believe that the British monarchy has more drama going on like a Hollywood reality show r-rated but she did it in the way that made you care about the characters in the story I like the twist and turns kept me awake just go I can see what was going to happen next I normally can guess but she made a little harder and I love that I look forward to reading more for her books I like them when they're in series so hopefully she has more like the seven sisters I look big fan of that series

twist and turns had my emotions high and low

A typical Lucinda Riley novel. Plots and sub plots. how does she remember the convoluted storyline? she weaves a web for the listeners until you dont know who to trust. Camilla Rockley the narrator, really brought the story to life. I couldn't believe she did ALL those accents. Well done Camilla.

Intrigue f4om beginning to the end

From midway I got into it. Was very slow to start. Worth persevering as the story line is good.

Slow to start but glad i preserved!

I liked love and empathy and one true love. Action and exciting story! What is most important thing in your life?

Unexpected story, I liked the people and their characteurs. First page to to the end I enjoyed a lot.

I found this had an engaging premise, and I was drawn in for the first half of the story. However, the gaps in logic (spoiler: the Brotish secret service would not realize that the agent they put on duty is the best friend of the person they're trailing??) and the unguardedness of characters who, by the midway point, should be wary of ANYONE who approaches them, became frustrating. I stuck with it because of the superb skills of the narrator, who rendered every voice and accent - - male, female, child, Irish, American, Yorkshire etc -- superbly. Kudos to her; she really elevated the material,

Decent British thriller elevated by super narrator
