an essential listen

any interest in post ww1 literature needs this lecture. well done connecting Hemingway and Fitzgerald to all the rest.

Fascinating and Very Enjoyable

This lecture was really everything I was looking for on the Lost Generation in Paris. Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Pound, Eliot, Sylvia Beach, Gertrude Stein, and others; their lives, relationships, struggles, triumphs, and where they hung out in Paris. The lectures were truly wonderful. Thank you Dr. Shelden!

Extremely Interesting

Fascinating all the way through! Loved the content and narration.

The only downside was the professor’s bio at the beginning…It went on WAY too long.

Very nice introduction

Informative for laymen who are interested in the American expatriates in Paris in the 1920s. The professor 's slow, soft and a little nostalgic tone is perfect for the topic. I finished this in less than a week, which is a record for me.

Good Story, but Unbearable Narration

The story is interesting, but the slow, dull, nauseatingly soft, and constantly pausing narration ruins this audiobook. Highly recommended if you want to listen to it to help you fall asleep. This audiobook would have been several hours shorter if Shelden had just read at a normal pace instead of briefly pausing every two words.
