Coble’s intrigue interweaves a mystery that is not solved until the final chapter of the book. I could remember only a few possible clues.
The historical era predates the changing mores of the “Roaring Twenties” when certain standards reigned. Deception is a prevalent thread exercised by many characters.
Overall this novel will hold your attention.

Deception

I love the way Colleen always brings God into each of her story’s which to me helps make me visualize them more realistically. This book was one of her best that she kept us unaware of the “who dunitl which I love!!! Just as I thought I had figured it out, zap, she gives me another character to make me go, “hmmmm”? Thank you for another beautiful story Colleen!!!

Love this Christian Historical series! Addicted!

Such a beautifully written book, I have listened to almost all of it Colleen’s books but the historical topic puts a new spin on it, and Colleen’s research is very accurate according to my history major, the man who would rather live in the late 1800-early 1900’s, husband of mine! My husband enjoys listening to the books too, but he wants to talk during it, so I don’t share anymore! Lol

Fast paced, intriguing, romantic, fun

I couldn’t put it down. Absolutely loved this. The pacing of the romance was wonderful. The drama of the mystery was well crafted and woven together. I had my self debating the entire time! I highly recommend.
