Maya and Rebecca Ward are both accomplished physicians, but that's where the sisters' similarities end. Sibling rivalry, love, lust, loss, & heartache

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! This was a great story line with a little something of every emotion for everyone.

What other book might you compare The Lies We Told to and why?

This had a little feel of Nicholas Spark's stories, in my opinion, except that the love story was more of a secondary focus while the friendship & survival events held the forefront.

What about Johanna Parker’s performance did you like?

I loved her entire performance. I can't think of anyone else who could have done a better job!

Any additional comments?

Diane Chamberlain is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. This book contained a little sample of every feeling imaginable from love, loss, lust, heartbreak, starting anew, sibling rivalry to murder. The one idea that stuck with me is the thought that we should make our lives in the sand instead of concrete so that anytime we decide to change them, it is easily possible.This book was absolutely enamoring from the storyline to the writing technique. The plot kept me hooked from the very first page and while reading you will be fervently gritting your teeth to see how everything plays out

wonderful story

I really enjoyed this book. It had good and bad in it, but somehow still came out as light and happy. Great characters. Great story of growth for all the characters.

Best book ever !

Diane Chamberlain is the queen of fiction in my book. This one is especially good. Give it a try. You’ll love it !

Ending unrealistic

I liked the book but to think the sisters, husband all live happily ever after is unrealistic. I love happy ending s but really, the one sister divorced her husband, the other sister marries him, they get pregnant, and no ill feelings - having picnic./birthday party all together.

Good, solid read.

Realistic and interesting. The ending got a little strange. Best part was the prologue. Very likeable characters.

This book has me randomly thinking about it months later. It was great, exciting, absorbing. I have yet to find a book by her I haven't loved!

I didn't see that coming

This was a good book with a couple of plot twists. once I started listening I couldn't stop.

Overall Story

The overall story/writing was fine, but this particular story line just isn’t my type of book

Many different subplots

The thing I like most about this author is all the unexpected turns and twists. The varied believable characters.

Good story.

Thus was a well thought through story. We'll read. Good ending.
Page turner of sorts.
