Resumen del Editor

After tragedy shatters William's world of self-imposed isolation, he finds himself on the road with a younger woman whose life becomes intertwined with his. Forging an unlikely friendship, they must learn to navigate the dangers and chaos of their journey into Mexico, while confronting ghosts from the past.

"The Last Line of a Goat Song is poetic and poignant, with characters full of longing, pain, and a desire to be seen, if not for who they are, then who they want to be. This is a riveting story of an unlikely friendship. A remarkable novel." -Edan Lepucki, best-selling author of California and Woman No. 17

great story, distracting audio

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The audio is of poor quality, it is inconsistent and distracting at times.

What other book might you compare The Last Line of a Goat Song to and why?

"A Man Named Ove" is the book that comes to mind when looking for one to compare "The Last Line of a Goat Song" to. The main characters of both were old quirky men that the reader couldn't help but like.

Would you be willing to try another one of Joe Vercillo’s performances?

Sure. I think Joe did very well, but the quality of the audio really did not do the performance justice.

Do you think The Last Line of a Goat Song needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

I don't think there is a need to do a follow-up book. This was William's story. Maggy was a strong character, but William was the real star. I don't feel as though Maggy's story is substantial enough to stand on its own, not even with Jessica by her side.

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed this book very much, but wish the audio quality had been better and less distracting. William and Maggy's characters were beautifully written, and their journey was full of unexpected adventures and emotions.
