Joey Boots was best known for his regular contributions to the Howard Stern Radio Show. While not quite officially a member of Stern’s collection of oddball characters known as the Wack Pack, Boots and his antics were key components of the show for years. Behind the shenanigans like the trademark live TV interruptions of news reports that came to be known as “Booey bombs", Joey Boots lived a unique and troublesome life. A childhood of abuse and constant feelings of isolation led to regular encounters with the law as Boots neared adulthood. He rambled from pastime to pastime - some good, some less healthy. He spent time as both a volunteer firefighter and serial arsonist before taking a job on an Alaskan fishing ship and later enlisting in the US Army. Through it all, Boots grappled with his own sexuality and substance abuse issues.

The Joey Boots Chronicles captures the wild tale of Boots’ life as told in his own voice, much of it for the very first time. It’s a raw, graphic, and honest look into the struggles and successes along a most peculiar journey and the one-of-a-kind man behind it all.
