The people! The personal stories and how more than 4 lives were fused into the 4 lives that were lost. They are warriors against madness. it's a story that needed to be told so we can all learn.

A respectful account of tragedy

I liked this a great deal in the sense that I thought it was a story well told. My only criticism is the constant repetition of who people were who had already been introduced. But it was well done overall.

the interpersonal view into all aspects of the effect of this murder on all of those in this story!

Heart wrenching play-by-play

A Never-heard-before account of the details surrounding the horrific events of November 13, 2022. This book takes you on the journey of the families, friends, police agencies, and media without losing sight of the four beautiful souls taken too soon.

Rest in peace

I read this book mostly because I wanted to hear stories about the victims & their families. It was an honor to hear inside stories about their lives. Tasteful & thoughtfully done. My heart goes out to each family & I pray in time they’re able to find some sense of peace. This should have not happened & I’m so sorry it did. Hearing about their lives touched me & going forward I will think of the little things I learned about them more than anything else.

Bryan is a small, useless, pathetic parasite. I am glad he will rot in prison.

I enjoyed this book and audiobook! There were a lot of details I didn’t know about included in this book. The narration was great!

I enjoyed the look into what the families and friends thought and said during the time when we had no information. Filled many gaps and gave the victims’ perspectives.

The background information and personal stories…

This was an amazing book that detailed the heartbreak of this horrendous crime that took place in a small town in Idaho. The reality of the story and all that went into the gruesome ending of four young lives is made palpable by the details. I wish there was an update at the end for the plea deal and subsequent aftermath of this story.

In-depth

I do not believe I can say that I enjoyed such a tragic story. It was well written and covered many answers to my questions about the Idaho Four and their assailant. The authors and audio reader definitely put things into perspective about the feelings and occurrences leading up to the tragedy on November 13. The question will remain as to why Kohlberger chose and decided to kill four innocent students at Idaho University. Only he can explain that part of any story written about this horrendous tragedy. I hope Patterson will write the next part of this story, which also deserves some in-depth explanation.
