Not Conroy but…

Not Conroy, but quite good! It wasn’t anything earth shattering or profound. It won’t keep me thinking and I won’t return to it annually like I do Conroy novels or classics, but it kept me entertained and is good enough to purchase the sequel. Solid 4 stars.

I loved this book! Didn’t want it to end.

A good mystery with a little bit of ghost story to boot! Good characters and good story line. I guessed a couple of things but overall the story moved along well and kept me guessing most of the time. I will try the next one in this series.

Narrator kept you wanting more

This book series was recommended to me and so glad I decided to begin this series. Twists and turns that kept you wanting to listen more and more. Even sat in driveway when I got home to listen to the end of the chapter. Excited to start on book 2. Here we go.

Loved the combination of historical fiction with mystery and romance. Can't wait for the next one!

Super good book. I liked the characters, the Charleston history, the ghosts and the surrounding mystery. I don’t typically read supernatural books, but I have read a couple of other books by this author and so I thought I would give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised and very much look forward to the second installment.

Fun and fascinating

Karen is one of my favorite authors and this book does not disappoint. Her descriptions are amazing and her characters really seem to live. She has a great blend of mystery, romance and the most delightful touch of humor. I wish Hollywood would be wise enough to make this book into a movie.
