Science-Forward, Practical, and Genuinely Engaging

Can confirm that this book delivers! It makes cholesterol education practical, approachable, and even fun. Only he could make gut cholesterol transporters sound like nightclub staff (NPC1L1: the ticket taker, ABCG5/8: the bouncers). Highly recommend!!

Outstanding Review of Cholesterol and Cardiac Risk

Josh Wageman does an excellent job of discussing the complicated world of cholesterol and cardiac risk. He does this in an entertaining way. I will be recommending this book to my patients who would like a deeper dive into body physiology and how to stay healthy. Josh does an excellent job of focusing on lifestyle modification and demystifies some of the confusion about cholesterol medication. I also appreciate that he talks about his faith and how this helps to decrease cardiac risk.

Entertaining presentation of a complicated subject

I think it may be a useful book for some people to learn more about the complicated world of cholesterol. It still gets into the weeds, a good bit so it may be more complicated still than some people will enjoy.
I was fine with his presentation and content until he got to the preachy part where he was pushing his religion. That's not that I bought this book for.
