Good book, terrible reading

I like this story. I've enjoyed it on Kindle, so I tried the audio version. The virtual voice is the worst style I ever heard. There's no inflection, the voice is monotone. A real reader, aka a quality voice actor, would have accents and tones. Different voices to distinguish different characters. It would understand the basic difference between a shout and a whisper and emotions. An actor would add to the story by creating an experience. This rendition is a waste of time.

Love the story!

This was a great story! And the virtual voice wasn't bad theres a few instances where it sounded “glitchy” It would have been better if read by a person. But the storyline was entertaining and held my attention!

Love the series - hated the narration

I have been looking forward to this series being audiobooks, but I wish it was an actual narrator. The cadence was off. The emotion of the story was off. It was the same voice for all characters which made it difficult to determine who was speaking. Please consider releasing this series with an actual narrator.

liked it but...

I really wish this had an actual person reading it. The virtual voice is terrible. I would just get into the story then it would pull me out with something with a very weirdly pronounced word, or some really strange emphasis on the dialogue. People just don't talk like that.

Virtual voice is inconsistent

Why aren't AI voices edited for pronunciation inconsistencies? Every name is pronounced three or four ways throughout the story, making the listening experience problematic. It's difficult to track who is talking or being talked about.

The story is good

The story is a pretty good one. However, virtual voice is crap. It’s just saying words no feeling and weird inflections. If a human read it id have gave it a better review.

What a great book but what a piss poor read

This book could have been great. Beautiful love story, but this computer reader was soo disappointing that I had to hear over the poor read. I enjoyed the story and it would make a great action full movie, but soo bad reader

Too Much Abuse

I have enjoyed some of Amy Sumida’s books, thanks to the fact they’re included in my subscription, but this one is really just rough sex and abuse. Where’s the story?
The virtual voice is tolerable, but I would never pay a credit or money for a book narrated this way.
