Absolutely stunning narration
A who done it, serial killer, with a beautiful romance storyline. I was so happy to return to the small town of Misted Pines and more psychological drama. This narration was one of the best I’ve ever listened to.

Yet another hit from Kristen Ashley and the Misted Pines series! The mystery/suspense/thriller vibes of this book were top-notch. I loved how that part of this story played out. While the romance of this one was different than most Kristen Ashley books I've read, I thought it fit into this story perfectly. I loved how Rus and Cin were with each other. I loved how the two of them supported each other. I loved how Cin helped Rus realize just how important and special he was, and I loved how Rus let Cin be exactly who she was without expectation.
There is an author note at the beginning of this one, but I'm going to mention it as well: this book gets pretty detailed when it comes to the crimes being committed. If you have any triggers, be very cautious when reading this book. I think the discussion around everything in this book is handled really well, but I know it could easily be triggering to some, and it is more important for you to take care of yourself than it is to read this book.
I absolutely loved this one and am so very eager to read the next one.

KA has done it again
Narration - Alan Carlson is a new narrator for this listener and is his voice the bomb! Never once did I have to rewind to understand what he said. There was just the right amount of emotion for the intense scenes, for the developing love story, for the finality of his old relationship and telling the ex-wife what she could do with her , "I think I made a mistake" comment.
Loved that characters from the previous Misted Pines book where part of this story.
Loved that the story didn't drag, no repeating the same info over and over.
This was just good KA writing.
Overall: 4 3/4 Stars.

Fantastic Criminal Suspense!
I loved everything about this book y'all! Not really what I'd call a typical KA book, but the plot line and climax are FANTASTIC, it was not something I could figure out! I loved the Narration, his voice is so self-assured and well rounded!

Moran sounds like Casey Kasem
No complaints about the narrator at all. He did a fantastic job. His voice for Moran sounds exactly like Casey Kasem! It makes me smile to remember back to America's Top 40. Kristen Ashley did a great job with book 2. Each character and their story was done in a very thoughtful way.

KA did it again!
Loved the story; had me at the edge of my seat wanting to know the identity of C.K. And this might have been the first time KA brought me to tears. The funeral was very moving and emotional. The narrator did a great job. I liked how he was able to make the female characters sound feminine without sounding silly. But I couldn’t help thinking he sometimes sounded like Casey Kasem. If you were an 80’s child you know who he is.

not my favorite of her books
I've read or listened to all her books to date. usually love them, although not so much the graphic sex scenes, but this book moved slower than her usual stories. the characters? fantastic and so believable.
