I love the series but Book Nine was awful. It’s like she phoned it in. I’m liking the main character less & less. She’s not evolving or getting any smarter. Her relationship with Fleet is boring. It would be so much more fun if she was with Paul Fox. The whole “Jack -the-ripper” theme is so old and overused by now it has no place in this series. Lazy writing. Little imagination. Very disappointed.
