I like the insights, the clear writing of complex ideas, the factual detail. A must read.

The book is well written by an author who is very qualified to give an analysis on this subject.

The narrator uses a repetitive voice pattern that makes it difficult to listen to. It is a voice pattern suited for a short news story or documentary, but not for a book.

I really liked the historical review of events that led Russia to invade Ukraine… and how the U S played a role. Also.. I trust Vindman!

Excellent background on the history of the Ukraine war and strategies for the future. Mr. Vindman has the background and intelligence to give a memorable discussion.

Fantastic blend of history and analysis

Lt Col Vindman's recounting of recent US policy and its misplaced aims (and poor results) as well as his championing of neo-idealism is both insightful and a breath of fresh air.

Defining Realism in the Context of American Modern History

I'm very appreciative of the writers personal experience and expertise with this book. Not only does this give context to current events, it gives the reader many insights to an otherwise mysterious processes.
