What, you say you never heard about it? You say you have read all the history books and have never heard of a zombie apocalypse ever having occurred at any time in the past. So, you are sure it never happened and that I must be mistaken.
One thing you have to understand about history books is that they record the past and what happened in the past, but they only record what they want you to know. Have you ever heard the saying that history books were written by the winners? So, in reality, you are only hearing what the winner’s want you to know about what happened when you read a history book. Sometimes, they don’t want you to know anything.
Mike Johnson and Bill Walsh, two private investigators from Los Angeles, were hired to travel to a small town in western Pennsylvania to verify some information for Paramount Studios and the show Unsolved Mysteries. The studio liked to verify certain facts before starting production on any new show. The show’s premise was that they would highlight and explore a mystery that has never been solved. But before doing the show, the studio wanted to be sure that the situation in this small town was actually a mystery.
Mike and Bill’s job seemed simple enough, all they had to do was go look at the tombstones in the town’s cemetery and confirm that no one had been buried there during a mysterious five-year time period in the town’s past. How hard could that be?
Mike and Bill soon found out first-hand that what you read in history books is not always the full story. Even worse, sometimes, things that happened have been left out of the history books entirely. Why? That was the big question.
But, Just Maybe, sometimes, what happened in the past had just been too horrifying for anyone to ever want to think about it again.
Maybe some things buried in the past, should be left in the past.
