Resumen del Editor

Your worst enemy is sometimes yourself.

Evaran and the gang travel to the NGC 4696 galaxy in the Centarus cluster, a part of the Hydra-Centarus supercluster, to deal with a summons. The world they arrive at is under a dimensional invasion by brood-like creatures. However, there is something of high value to the gang there, and they drop in to investigate.

What they find will lead them to Keloton, city-ship and home of the Hoxscarus. One problem is that Evaran is being hunted, and Keloton suffers the impact of that. Another issue is that the Hoxscarus the gang knows are not the same as the ones in Keloton.

Not only does the gang need to deal with this new threat, the Time Wardens have also entered the picture. Pozarra, a powerful representative of the Hoxscarus, joins up with Evaran and the gang to deal with all the threats and stop a powerful time-traveling enemy from rewriting history in this final book of the series.

Review for ALL 15(.5) books!

I wanted to wait until the end in order to review the entire series as a whole — not just a book by book opinion. So...

I enjoyed the entire collection immensely, but I'll start with THE ONLY negative acknowledgement — which would be that sometimes (and rarely at that), it morphed into a ball of cheese (haha...I say this light-heartedly) with all of the mentions of people "chuckling," as well as how many times we're told, "She (or He) loved that she(/he) could..." this & that; however, that's just his writing style! In all seriousness, though, it was EXACTLY what I'd been searching for to take a break from my usual King and Koontz books. I believe I'll try more of his works, actually.

Although it seems lazy for me to just give it 5's across the board, I did so with sufficient deliberation (IMHO). I was fascinated throughout every book. There was very little downtime, radical concepts were adequately explained without being pounded into your mind, there were very little unnecessary tangents — if any — or other detractions from the central arc, and the "flow rate" (as I like to call it) was seemingly always spot on.

I paid for every book in this series (well, 1-3 came as a box set for 1 credit, but I paid a credit for books 4-15 each) except the 1st prequel, which was free. I say 1st because something else has been added and I don't know if it's a 2nd prequel or what...just that it's short and does cost a credit. Not overly thrilled about THAT, but who knows...ya know‽
