Yeah, it’s an encyclopedia. Yeah, it’s not supposed to be a fully detailed narrative, but this collection is mediocre at best because it fails to describe the most interesting details of the cases discussed.
Another sad trend of these armchair criminologists turned writers is the way they are an echo chamber for leftist talking points, instead of presenting objective facts. You can cite those points, but if you do give the counterpoint, instead of presenting it as undeniable fact. Examples include claims that there was a delay in catching certain SKs because their victims were from”marginalized” groups. Any person who’s worked in law enforcement knows this is complete and utter BS. Similarly, SKs who are from a minority group are not more sympathetic due to their background. Minority SKs are just as evil as white SKs.
