Moving from home to home and constantly changing schools was very hard for me growing up as the eleventh child. I could not fit in with other kids and had difficulty finding myself. Trying to make new friends every few months was very challenging.
As I take you down the path I walked, you will see how many experiences I faced. Growing up poor was another huge problem, and I had to face it head-on. I never knew what our next dinner would be or if I would be safe walking around the neighborhood. Yet, each experience I went through helped me to grow and be the person I am today.
Growing up without a father showed me a different way to survive the ups and downs I would encounter. If you had a childhood like mine, I hope this book will bring you some joy and happiness, and I hope it lets you know you were not alone. I would not change my childhood for anything because I would not be who I am today without it.
