Paranormal Women's Fiction & Romance from NYT & USAT Bestselling Author Michelle M. Pillow.

After a fake psychic scammed her mother out of her retirement, Cynthia Clarkson has made it her life’s mission to expose every single one of those charlatans. So when she hears a rumor that a group of women in Freewild Cove is claiming to help loved ones move on after death, she’s all over it.

Josh is just the latest in a long line of victims. Cynthia is determined to help him see the truth, and falling for him isn’t part of the plan. She thought she’d seen every trick in the book, but there are some phenomena she can’t explain. These women are good, but she’s better. Even if it kills her, she’s going to get to the bottom of the mystery.

Unless, of course, the demon they claim is after her kills her first.

Heather, Vivien, Lorna, and Sue are back! With the help of Grandma Julia's ghost, they're kicking supernatural butt and taking names.

This is my favorite Order of Magic audiobook as of yet. Don't get me wrong, I love all of them, this one just tipped the scales a bit. Mainly because it revolves around Cynthia who makes a living actually debunking and lecturing about the charlatan ways of mediums, psychics and the likes. Everything the women of Freewild Cove are. And Josh of course.

The ball gets rolling after Cynthia's lecture while she's trying to have a peaceful meal (like that ever happens, even irl.), she's interrupted, albeit politely, by a very haggard looking man. He sits, orders a meal and proceeds with why he tracked her down. It's not to confront or harang her. He's trying to get a logical, non paranormal, answer to his predicament. He shows Cynthia some disturbing selfies that she just brushes off as a prank and the meal continues.

That is until two young ladies actually do confront her at the table. One in particular, "Red," all but screams at her and makes a scene. Letting Cynthia know that the women in Freewild Cove at the Warwick Theater ARE the real deal.

This gets Cynthia's debunking brain working & a freaked out Josh an idea. This gets the coincidences started, the bad luck going, the romance ensuing and the paranormal hijynx starting. Oh, and did I mention that Cynthia is wearing her mother's ring? Wink wink.

The narration is wonderful and had me busting a gut throughout. This is MOST DEFINITELY A MUST listen!!

An audiobook on my top 10!

Cynthia Clarkson is determined to expose the fake psychics, mediums, and tricks used to cheat grieving people out of their money, and leave them in worse emotional shape than they started with. She meets Josh after one of her lectures, and refuses to listen to, let alone believe his story. She heads to Freewild Cove to investigate a rumored group of psychics, and finds Josh there as well. Her interaction with this group is an eye-opener. This is a cleverly written exciting story full of magic, doubt, and discovery. It is brought to life by Rebecca Cook’s entertaining narration.

I have enjoyed every book in this series and Cynthia's story was no exception. Her childhood was far from easy, her father died and then her mother had a hard time accepting her loss and was continually trying to contact her husband through a psychic. Unfortunately the psychic was a con artist scamming her mother for money.

Because of this Cynthia has made it her life's mission to expose all the scammers who are pretending to contact the dead. She speaks in public on the subject and will tell anyone who will listen that there are no such things as ghosts and that all psychics/ tarot readers and mediums are fraudsters. That is until she goes to Freewild Cove where Josh resides he has captured an image on his phone she believes to be fake but is it? The more time she spends with him the more her feelings change, she feels a connection which is unusual for her and is forced to admit that ghosts and demons are very real. Especially as one particular demon has her in its sights, she needs help to win this fight with the demon and finds it in the women of Freewild Cove.

This story is smooth-flowing, and well-written and is brought to life by the narration of Rebecca Cook who brings every facet of this scary, haunting, romance to life. The romance in this book is not the main topic, belief in the paranormal is, I was on edge as I listened it seemed so real!

There is something about this growing group of women that draws the reader in and keeps you coming back for more. No doubt about it thay are each survivors in their own right and made stronger in their paranormal faith as they join forces to help those needing it. RECOMMENDED IN BOTH EBOOK AND AUDIBLE.

Michelle, your books always make me happy!!
This was a terrific final conclusion to this series, but I am going to miss Grandma Julia's crazy antics, the magic, and these women in Free Wild Cove!
Loved the friendships formed and the feeling of family that each book in this series highlighted. Each one was also clever and funny!
Rebecca Cook is an outstanding narrator and was a perfect match for this series!!

In The Eighth Portion, Carolyn Clarkson doesn't believe in the paranormal and supernatural world after her mother has been conned out of her lifesaving. What Cynthia didn't know is that she has a supernatural ability and that a demon has been hunting her.

Josh Alder was a causality of the demon who is hunting Cynthia. The demon was using anyone to get to Cynthia.

Josh went to Cynthia for help but was turned down. So his alternative was to seek the ladies of Freecove for help.

Between Heather, Vivien, Lorna, and Grandma Julia, their antics are hilarious. This last book of the series does not disappoint. Just sad to see this series ends.

Ohh this got intense for me a few times!! Cynthia’s story is a sad one. Her mother was hoodwinked by fake psychic and now Cynthia is on a mission to help others not make the same mistake like her mother did. But unfortunately for Cynthia the fake psychic did some things. Cue in the team of Heather, Vivien, Lorna, and Sue. It’s so fun to see these ladies again in Cynthia’s story. It was also nice to see Josh and how he played a role as well. This was an intriguing story that kept me on the edge of my seat.

Addicting listen!

I've read each book in this series. This one touched me deeply. I can't explain why, but I had happy tears at the conclusion. I got so caught up in Cynthia's emotions and life, I truly felt for her. To find love after a life time of feeling invisible. Josh, wow! What a man! To stand by Cynthia the way he did. This man had a demon haunting him just to get to her, but he still would take it on to protect her. That's true love. The other characters from the previous books helped lightened the mood, especially the ghost of Grandma Julia and Vivian, Heather's best friend. Those two are wild characters. Each woman brought so much to this story... Lorna, Heather, Vivien, Sue, Nina, and Kari. If you have read the previous books, I recommend it and this one too.

The audiobook book is done very well. It's narrated by Rebecca Cook. She brings each character to life with her smooth soothing voice.
