However, I have a feeling that it was not him who wanted me dead. In fact, I sensed that he was maybe even a bit in love with me, which complicated matters.
With the help of my most trusted eunuch and friend Zeus, I would find out who wanted me dead and what was his or her motives behind it.
Dear listeners, this is an alternative historical romance with dramatizations of actual historical events about the legendary Princess Liji from Lirong. She was named one of the four most vicious beauties in ancient Chinese history. All the main characters in the story were also real.
Note that this is Book 2 of The Duke & I series, and it ends with a cliffhanger. The whole series will span nearly 20 years of Liji's amazing life.
