Acerca de esta escucha

A shocking accident gave Matthew Cahill the ability to see a nightmarish netherworld that nobody else does, pitting him in a fight to save us all - and his own soul - from the clutches of pure evil in these three exhilarating tales of dark humor, nonstop action, and pure horror.

Matt thought he was the only one who could see the evil in people’s souls as rotting flesh. But in David McAfee’s "The Dead Woman", in a town terrorized by a vicious serial killer, Matt meets a woman who may see the same dark world that what he does...

James Reasoner’s "The Blood Mesa", Matt is working for a group of archeologists unearthing Native American ruins in a desolate corner of New Mexico...who inadvertently awaken an ancient terror with an insatiable hunger for human flesh.

Matt is pursued by sadistic, professional mercenaries into a dying western town in Harry Shannon’s "Kill Them All". Now Matt must rally the peaceful citizens into defending themselves - or sacrifice himself to save them from certain death.

Reseñas de la Crítica

“BUCKLE UP…THIS IS BIG TICKET HORROR!” ( New York Times best-selling author Jonathan Maberry)

MATT SWUNG HARD AND DECAPITATED THE KILLER
These stories follow the same character, but are written by different authors. This book as a whole was not as good as volume one. The first story, THE DEAD WOMAN, was written by David McAfee and was very good. It takes up about half of the book and so my four stars are based on that. This story alone was worth five stars and is worth your credit alone. There is foul language, gore and sex.

THE BLOOD MESA AND KILL THEM ALL
These two stories range around two to three stars each. A lot less imagination was used in these two efforts and both episodes are old worn out themes. MESA is about a evil idol and KILL THEM ALL is a rehash of the old biker movies, where the bikers take over the small isolated town.

Since different authors write these stories, they differ in quality. I like this whole television character theme and will continue the series.

Kind of slow to get into. But this series of books in not like any of the other common themes. It pulls you in, is very funny, and scary at the same time. The Hero has a variety of different perspectives. And the narrator - has the most interesting voice. Er ... voices. I could listen to him for hours. I think if this guy read the encyclopedia I'd listen. I'll definetly stay tuned for the next episode.

Not like any other book I've listened to - EVER

This was very good as well at the first, though I did enjoy the first the best so far but I’m on to number 3 now. Can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Very good!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I wouldn't say it was time well spent, but then again I listened to the stories while I was walking so the time was well spent anyway (if that makes any sense).

If you’ve listened to books by the authors before, how does this one compare?

I litened to Volume I, and this was not quite as good. Maybe because the typical story line started getting old for me. Both Volume I and II contain 3 or 4 short stories with the same main character, and same basic premise.

Have you listened to any of Luke Daniels’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Not sure.

Was The Dead Man, Volume 2 worth the listening time?

Not really.

Any additional comments?

Volume I was a bit better I think.

It's OK
