Our favorite guy and girls are back in this second installment of the series. The narration is on point as always and with plenty of spicy scenes that will leave you wanting more. I’m certainly am! Can’t wait for the next audiobook to come out.

I thought book 1 was good and then I get hit with book 2. Great story continuation and overall story progression. Erin Bateman, thank you for an excellent performance . My only criticism is that the books should be looonger!

A great continuation to an excellent series. This is a fun Isekai journey. John continues to grow more powerful, along with his ever growing group of friends. It is worth your time and money.
I had to go back and listen to the first one over again. That being said it definitely allowed me to compare and contrast where the story was when it started and how it's developed. I can say with the utmost assurance that book two is everything a sequel should be. To be more specific it's everything that made the first book great and then more, minus the “first book shakes”. I really am enjoying the story and while usually I wouldn't wait for the third book to come out on audio when it's available as an eBook unfortunately this time around life has gotten a little bit busy. I never want to leave a review without mentioning the narrator or narration team. Lady Bateman is a narrator that I am familiar with from a number of other series, and she always does a fantastic job in my opinion. Basically, if you're reading this review and have yet to start it, what you need to know is that it is a trilogy about a professor of history who is transported to a fantasy world where he becomes a rare fire mage. Gender roles are somewhat reversed, and the male population is outnumbered by the ladies. The trilogy is complete and available in eBook form. All three books in one book. As you can see, the first two are available in audio and I have no doubt that the 3rd will be out relatively shortly. If you can't tell by what I've said so far, I do recommend anybody reading this review check out this trilogy.

if you thought book one was good book two is even better! the adventure the action and the plot gets better and thicker. this is an awesome series so far can't wait for the next one!
