An excellent book with practical approaches to alter the current disease-based medical system. As in ICU doctor, I've seen the ways in which our conventional system fails spectacularly and lands people in costly end-of-life care without delivering much in the way of quality of life. Unfortunately, that has become a systemic part of our system and it will take a dramatic rethinking of our healthcare system to correct that. The community-based approach is exactly the kind of correction that we sorely need.
