Can LGBTQ people be Christians too?
Am I wrong?
Am I right?
What am I supposed to do?
Unless you yourself want to be in a gay relationship, then it really does not matter what you believe about gay Christians. The only ones who really need to be sure that they are right are the actual gay Christians that desire to have a real relationship with God and want to live their lives according to the life, lessons, and examples of Jesus.
If you do not agree with a gay Christian and honestly do not think it possible, it really doesn’t matter. If I am right, it will not matter to you in eternity. If I am wrong and you are right, it will not matter to you in eternity. If you believe God is real and that the Holy Spirit shines light into our lives, then back off and let God do the work. Equally, make sure your life is ready to hear from God too. Never be in the place where God cannot teach you and give you wisdom and understanding.
Dr. Ponder wrote this simple book in a conversational tone to share a few thoughts to help the 21st century church do the right thing when ministering to whomever enters their church. From start to finish, Dr. Ponder shares from his heart to help everyone improve their actual ministry to following the call of Jesus to love our neighbors, even our LGBTQ neighbors.
