Beautifully Written
As a black fantasy nerd, it's hard for me to connect with Mainstream fantasy. Not with "The Chosen" I felt right at home with this story. I could see myself in the very diverse cast of characters. it was very strange for me to see black main characters in a fantasy book. I quickly fell in love with the world and the lord of Darhavin. Do you want female empowerment? most of the hardest and most badass characters in this book are women, black women to boot. There is so much I can say about this book but I don't want to give anything away.
I love how the Authors blends the modern world with the fantasy world of Darhavin. I eagerly await book two to hit Audible.

The Chosen: God or Destroyer
First of all I would like to say that I absolutely loved this action filled scifi/fantasy book. I was hooked and could not stop listening as the phenomenal narrator Gill Mills took me on a ride of intricate suspense and fantasy.
After 100,000 years a new Chosen returns to the city of Darhavin but not without alerting his true followers as well as his enemies of his presence. The book chronicles the obstacles that both the true believers and the armies endure while on a journey to the city ruins of Alkebulan. A battle is looming and the truth will be revealed is The Chosen a God sent to help bring the factions together or destroy all that stands in his way. I am in total awe of this phenomenally written that has many female warriors who are strong and fearless and not afraid to show it. I can't wait to hear/read book 2. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves science fiction/ fantasy books.

Captivating
I’m only halfway through the book but I’m all in it. Darhavin seems amazing. I can’t wait to hear the rest. If this is a series I can’t wait for the next book to come out. It’s amazing to find fantasy with characters you can relate to and look like me :)
