Resumen del Editor

Since 2002, there has been an enormous increase in the number of known server vulnerabilities, leaving the traditional defensive solutions far behind.

Today, attackers have improved on the sophistication used and the nature of the crime has changed. For example, web attacks between 2008 and 2010 caused 53 Seattle-based enterprises to face damages worth $3 million. Most such attacks are because of complacency and not remaining alert to the threat.

The CEO's Manual on Cyber Security teaches you how to educate employees as well as develop a framework for security management against social engineering, keeping your corporation one step ahead of the attackers. It also details how enterprises can implement defenses against social engineering within their security policy.

In this audiobook you will learn how to avoid and prevent all of the following and more:

<
  • Web Attacks
  • Social Engineering
  • Denial of Service caused by botnets
  • Cloud Hacks
  • Attacks via the Universal Serial Bus
  • Clickjacking and cross-site scripting
  • Phishing attacks from trusted third parties

Don't let your company fall victim to the thousands that will try to compromise its security and take it for all they can. Simply following the steps outlined in this audiobook and being proactive can save you millions.

If a CEO needs to know this...

Then I will eat my hat. This topic is important, but this was hardly written in a way that makes sense to me. I mean what does a CEO need to know about Chrome Extensions? That there are important security topics to consider as a CEO is true, that you will gain any of those insights in this read is a fantasy.

This book tries to explain technical details, but if I were a CEO, I would want to understand how security will affect my business. Not get a blow by blow explanation of various terms related to security. Especially when simply looking it up on Wikipedia would have been more informative.

I also had to laugh as the narrator spelled out PWNED. Not knowing how it is pronounced is embarrassing for something that is supposed to be an authoritative read.

Poor performance of a poor book

Mispronunciations abound. Using the wrong words changes the context and message. CEOs of the average company (not including technology companies ) will find this book marginally helpful because of terminology which is only sporadically explained. If you're not a techie then you will be doing a LOT of additional research to make sense of this. Research is not bad but the title of the book implies that this is useful/actionable for a CEO. Most CEOs don't have the time for that.
