Consistent.
In general, I love Pryor’s stories and have read everything he has written. I alternate reading them with more difficult tomes for some R&R in my reading and total fun and abandonment to less scholarly reading and concentration on the perplexing mystery of who is the bad guy and what is the motivation.
While I agree with one of the other reviewers that this is not his best work, it is still fun and great entertainment . I wish he would write a million more in the same genre. Hats off to you, Mr. Pryor.

Well below the quality of earlier work
The premise for the story was a good one, the pros and cons of capital punishment .
This Hugo Marston story however was disjointed, not credible, and well below the high standard that Mark Pryor had set with his earlier books, most notably the Bookseller. Very disappointed!
