Lucy primarily has a Midwestern accent but sometimes uses English phrases and pronunciations because her deadbeat father was English. Creating the perfect rendition of Lucy seems to come effortlessly to narrator Laura Kirman, who is skilled at voicing both English and American parts. Delightful!

I immediately fell in love with the characters and so enjoyed getting to know and root for each one . Also the perfect placement of each literary references made my heart swell. A great read for book lovers❤️everywhere.

Every character is worth knowing. Like each of us, they are products of both nature and nurture, they are flawed, and they are redeemable!

I love a book that persuades me to look inward, leading me to be honest with myself and to evaluate my motives. And books whose characters are so well drawn that I care about what happens to them after the novel ends are a special treat!
