Edith Nesbit was an English author of more than 60 books for children, and several more for adults. Her books were often whimsical and imaginative, and The Book of Dragons is no exception. The book was published originally in The Strand Magazine in 1899 as a seven-part series, with an additional story added after the author’s death.
The Book of Dragons consists of eight fantastical stories of dragons and people who get to meet and interact with them. The dragons are of all kinds, colors, temperaments, and ages. The stories are full of adventures and action, with princes rescuing princesses from fierce dragons, caretaking dragons who care for human children, and even an appearance by St. George, famously known for his dragon-slaying abilities.
These stories are imaginative and fanciful, and are perfect for listeners who want to get lost in a world where dragons roam the earth.
