fantastic!

The stories just keep getting better and better.Still a tremendous amount of dialog, but it seems more evened out, as compared to the first books

Great book in the series

Great narration by Micheal Page of, in my opinion, one of Eriksons best books in the series.

Great series with distracting narrator

narrator uses such weird and grating voices for many characters, distracts from the excellent story

Best Malazan book so far but …

Best Malazan book so far but … I’m so confused! Lots of action and at least this time familiar characters for significant chunks of the book. Even after 6 books I often feel I have no idea what is going on. I understand why rereads are so popular with this series.

Good performance for a good book.

The middle books of the series can be slow to start, and confusing in how the time lines match up. In spite of that this was a good listen. There were a few parts that felt less dramatic in the listening than in the reading, but overall a good performance.

another great adventure

it was wonderful to see the characters we've been introduced to over the course of the series finally converge. The main complaint for me would be that the plot is largely driven by inscrutable characters, making motivation and pace a bit confusing.

Amazing! An adventure for the ages!

This novel, as well as the performance are remarkable. The story is paced perfectly and structured very similarly to previous novels. It's a treat from beginning to end. Loved it

Excellent Story, Excellent Performance

Without a doubt, one of the best fantasy series ever. Epic in all ways, yet endearing characters, depth, even warmth, and humor.

This would be a difficult book to narrate, with so many characters, but the performer managed it well. I would advise you to get the kindle version and read along, otherwise it will be difficult to tell who is speaking, or keep the many storylines straight.
