The Billionaire's Secret Shoes is the second in this series, but it is a complete standalone. Jackson is a college football coach whose absorption with his job has kept him from having much of a social life. Ruth is a doctoral candidate working as a teaching assistant whose rapidly increasing debt keeps her from having much of a life at all. The two dated very briefly during college, but, after breaking her heart, Jackson hasn't seen Ruth in seven years. When he is hit with an unexpected opportunity to become a billionaire if he marries within 24 hours, Jackson takes a chance and asks Ruth if she will do so without any questions as to his motives. Although quickly married, these two begin a courtship towards falling in love that is at times funny and at times romantic and at times a little whimsical. I could really feel the growing love and support these two had for each other as the story progressed, and I loved the fairly low-angst level of the story.

Tara Meyers did a fantastic job with the narration. She differentiates well between characters, and her tone was perfect for the occasions that the author added her signature dry wit. I would definitely listen to another performance by Meyers in the future.

A story that was both clean and easy going. It felt like drama at first but in the end did a good job. I received this book at no charge in exchange for an honest review.

Clean Romance

This is the second book in the Clean Billionaire Romance Series. This is a sweet and well written second chance to love. Tara Meyers did a good job with the narration. I was given a free review copy of the audiobook — at my request — and have voluntarily left this review.

Another wonderful book in the series

Another wonderful book in the series I liked it very much the book was written as wonderfully as the other books in the series the narrator was fantastic as well and everything about the story was fluent and very nice the story was on too long and it was great

A very enjoyable listen

Book 2 in the series. It can be listened to as a stand-alone . I really liked the first one and the narrator and once I saw there was a book 2 I was looking forward to the listen . This listen will have you laughing. It’s totally different then the first one .
Hero is Jackson. Heroine is Ruth .
Jackson and Ruth briefly dated when they were in college. But Ruth was hurt when Jackson broke it off .
Yes later Jackson is a football coach and Ruth is trying to become a doctor .
One day Jackson gets a deal from his dying grandmother. Get married in 24 hours and you get my millions , there is one catch , the female can’t ask why or how . Jackson sees Ruth again and he convinces her to get married. That is when all the fun starts .

Tara performance was good . She did all the characters voices good . Her voice is clear .

Multiple troupes in this one!

I thought this was a really interesting book. Eleanor the Grandma was a little essentric if not weird. I loved the love story that developed between Jackson and Ruth. This was a sweet, clean and fun book. I did think it strange that while Ruth's parents were mentioned once, the story never did give insight to their relationship with Ruth or how they felt hearing that their daughter got married on a whim after the fact.

Sweet romance story!

I really enjoyed this story. I didn't realize this was book 2 in a series, so I'm excited to now be able to read more. It could definitely be read as a stand-alone book, as I didn't feel like I was missing anything... The author and narrator both did an excellent job on this book! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great Read

The Billionaire'sSecretShoes (Clean Billionaire Romance #2) was a good read by Penelope Spark. Jackson Lebak has been happy and content as a college football coach. His eccentric grandmother offers him an inheritance of a billion-dollar shoe company. The catch is that he must marry before she dies. Ruth Koopman is working towards her Ph.D and drowning in debt. When she ran into Jackson, her old college flame, she wasn't happy. Its been seven years since he broke her heart and she is still picking up the pieces. She never expected that Jackson would knock on her door and propose. But he can't expose the real reason for the rush to the altar. I really enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

A good if somewhat unlikely story. For Ruth to marry a guy she hasn't seen in 7 years and didn't even know that well then without any explanation is ludicrous. The fact she did is kind of crazy, but strange things happen all the time.

I would like to have seen Ruth's BFF after the wedding and although Ruth's parents and brother were mentioned, they played no part. I wonder how they reacted.
