Good story, poor narration

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The story was a typical romance novel, sweet, predictable and totally implausible. The narration was so terrible that is was actually a struggle to listen to it. The Australian accent was awful...really terrible. It is really insulting to all Australians, making us sound like outback hicks who have never been to the 'big smoke'.

How could the performance have been better?

If you can't get an Australian to read the story please don't get the narrator to attempt an accent!

Was The Billionaire's Housekeeper Mistress worth the listening time?

The story was light and fluffy - perfect holiday listening or walking the dog listening. You don't listen/read a trashy romance to learn and improve your mind, you do it for the sheer fun!

Australian based easygoing romance

A typical Mills & Boone type love story - it was a short, sweet and simple listen. If you're looking for a fairly short, easygoing and without using much of your brain power - a holiday type listen - then this is your type of book.

Worth a credit? I'd wait, put it in your Wish List and get it when it's on sale.

Would you listen to The Billionaire's Housekeeper Mistress again? Why?

Attention Folks. This is a true & true chick lit and some maybe put off by its 'chick litness'.
I've listened and relistened, and relistened to this simple story that has been well written and well told. Its definitely a beach/holiday listen, easy on the ear.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Probably what I liked best was the ability of emma darcy to tell the story from both sides: that of the female and male characters. Modern romances writers rarelly write this way...it is always about the woman...does he love me, does he not...oh plse!!! Surely this male must have thoughts & feelings as well.
Anyway well done emma darcy, this is not your normal norm. I did enjoy losing myself for 5 hrs without too much of the heavy drama dramas.

great easy on the ear chick lit book.

A really enjoyable story

I was looking for something light, fast paced and enjoyable. I really found it in this story. Parts of it had me rolling with laughter. the narrator was excellent as well. the book also had a subtle message to it as well, which I like. I will be looking for more from this author.

Sweet romance

It was a good romance and a good study of values of different social classes

WORST NARRATION EVER!!

Couldn't even start getting into the story the narrator was so bad i couldn't get past the first chapter. Waste of money/credit.
