the story was good

virtual voice ruins it. mispronounced words so you have to stop and think about what they're really trying to say

Good book but AI Narration ruined it for me

The story is good but I had a really hard time getting into it and staying with it because of the narration. The AI narration is so blah, it’s tedious. I feel for authors who use it because it’s horrible! It drones on and on. If you don’t mind the AI narration, I recommend this book but if it bothers you, like it does me, skip it.

the voice, I had a hard time getting past that.

the virtual voice was horrible: no personality, flat, monotone, ect... I had to force myself to listen to the entire book, if it was not for the story line and my curiosity I would have switched to another book.

virtual voice ruins the whole thing

Proof that even an okay story can be ruined by virtual voice. the robotic voice, mispronunciations and terrible inflections are so distracting that even a great story would be ruined. and this was not great to begin with which made it pretty much unbearable. There are enough books out there narrated by great voice actors and readers to not waste your time on books trying to save a buck and take a shortcut using virtual voice. yuck.

AI ruined the book

The AI ruins the books. I don’t get it when you are a billionaire and you refuse to pay humans to narrate books bc it’s cheaper. Quality matters and having AI reads books defeats the purpose of using audiobooks.

It was extremely difficult to make it through this entire audiobook. The AI narration was horrible!

The Title

If you want to ruin a book let AI narrate it! Monotone throughout the entire 10 hours. I'm amazed I listened to entirety. A testament to my boredom.

Hard to listen to

The AI reading of this book was so hard to listen to that it ruined the story for me. I kept wanting to listen but I did not finish. The voice is so monotone with incorrect inflection and mispronounced words. I feel bad for the author as I couldn't rate the story higher not being able to fully get into it nor finish.
