Neither students nor a passing doctor nor paramedics were able to revive him. His parents received the news at their home in Toronto and immediately departed for Louisville. While on the plane, Tim began to process his loss through writing.

Great Resource for Preachers
This is an outstanding book for pastors and preachers. I highly recommend it. My only disappointment came in the last words of the last chapter of the book where the author called a non-literal hermeneutic a “foundational truth”. This was a strange mockery of a very large portion of the evangelical church that chooses to hold to a literal hermeneutic. This author’s hermeneutic was evident on page 244 where he took the liberty to symbolize the numbers in the book of Revelation for his readers. There is certainly no problem with an author presenting his views in his work. Therefore, I don’t take offense at his hermeneutical approach. However, I believe that closing the book by mocking other sincere believers is not only unnecessary, but also contradictory to his own words on page 257 where he advises: “don’t be afraid to…allow for some ambiguity” (in visionary writings). To be honest, I loved nearly every word of the book other than the end. I still highly recommend the book to all pastors and preachers!

This is a must listen!
Every Christian should get this book and apply it’s content to their approach to reading the Bible. There is a rise in people wrongly interpreting the Bible and taking Scripture out of context to prooftext all kinds of things. This book I believe will help equip Christians to approach Scripture correctly and allowing them to handle the Word of God rightly.
