A lifelong voyage of discovering how to extricate one's head from one's ass. This is Book I of the Assman Chronicles; a semi-autobiographical montage of anecdotes and observations about Dick Assman growing up and teaching in Appalachian southeastern Ohio in the 1960s and 70s.
Along the way, Assman meets rabid feminists at college, has an encounter with the legendary creature Bigfoot, and awaits sage advice from his Old Man, only to get sink or swim lessons about life, sex, and driving VW Beetles.
