Everywhere around you are distractions: That text you respond to quickly, just to get it out of the way. The newest money-making side hustle to cross your mind. The evening spent organizing your overflowing kitchen cupboards. Disruptions are the enemies of a life well lived—both the new distractions of our generation and timeless ones that have existed for centuries. They all add up to make you feel restless, tired, and unfulfilled. They’re keeping you from living with joy, from accomplishing the good that only you can do.

If you’re struggling to stay on top of your to-do list, you probably have a good reason: anxiety, fatigue, depression, ADHD, or lack of support. For therapist KC Davis, the birth of her second child triggered a stress-mess cycle. The more behind she felt, the less motivated she was to start. She didn’t fold a single piece of laundry for seven months. One life-changing realization restored her sanity—and the functionality of her home: You don’t work for your home; your home works for you.

When she realized the root of her burden was the overwhelm of physical clutter, she got intentional about what took up her space and time. The path she carved brought her and her family greater contentment and more abundant living, and she shares it in her much-anticipated first book, Declutter Like a Mother.

What do you think when you hear the word "declutter" and what does it really mean? It is not about living frugally. It means becoming aware that less is better, because it allows you to acquire more freedom, more money, more space, and more awareness of what you buy and consume. It doesn't just work for things; you can apply decluttering to any part of your life, whether it's the mess in your home, your finances, your brain, your relationships, or even your work.

Resumen del Editor
Have you ever felt overwhelmed, suffocated, and stressed out by the amount of clutter in your life?
Are you ready to break free from the confines of having too much “stuff” but not sure where to start?
The truth is…you probably have too many things taking up unnecessary space in your life. But what you might not know is that those things are weighing you down in more ways than one....
Think about it: All the dirty dishes piling up in the kitchen, those “just in case” items you keep in the garage, or Christmas presents you stuck in the back of your closet (which you knew you’d never use) aren’t just taking up physical space—they’re stealing your mental space, too.
Sure, you might be able to ignore all the clutter for a short while, but it’s only a matter of time before the messiness causes unwarranted stress, embarrassment, and anxiety.
However, it doesn’t have to be this way…. Clearing out the clutter to make space for more money, time, creativity, and relaxation is easier than you think.
Contrary to what many believe, decluttering and tidying up your home isn’t just about shuffling things around or throwing away items. It’s about consciously organizing your life to make room for prosperity, abundance, and happiness.
In The Art of Minimalism you will discover:
- The best way to utilize minimalism to be more productive and add hours to your day
- How to effectively use the “Pomodoro Method” to simplify your minimizing process
- A foolproof 30-day challenge to effectively organize your space
- Tips for spotting a “messy” relationship (and what to do about it)
- Why a “cluttered brain” equals a cluttered home and how to clear the mental mayhem
Imagine…in just a few months from now, you could have a transformed space that’s stress-free, relaxed, and serene.

Finally, a housekeeping and organizational system developed for those of us who'd describe our current living situation as a "f--king mess" that we "really need to get around to fixing one day". Unf--k Your Habitat is for anyone who has been left behind by traditional aspirational systems - the ones that ignore single people with full-time jobs, people without kids but living with roommates, and people with mental illnesses or physical limitations. Most organizational books are aimed at stay-at-home moms and people who seem to have unimaginable amounts of free time.

short sweet and to the point
it was a nice book that I could finish in a day or two. I don't think it's going to teach anyone to be a minimalist but more so how to declutter around the house and in your life.
