Just basic social savviness. LONG intro.

What disappointed you about The Art of Business Seduction?

It doesn't add anything to your knowledge if you know the basics of human interaction. The first few chapters are promises about what will happen if you listen to the book. But 3 chapters in, you are still listening to "you will be xyz if you apply the rules we will teach you"... so teach them already!!

What aspect of Mark Jeffries’s performance would you have changed?

He's not bad. Just had a bad script.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Art of Business Seduction?

All the promises and introductory chapters. I'd add some meat. I'd organize the book into clear chapters so people can skip around and still get something out of the book.

Any additional comments?

I don't recommend the book. Unless you're Borat and need all the help you can get.

Baseless fluff

This is a trite list of nice thoughts from someone who's never done actual research, and never seen actual success from putting it in practice. The author even admits his years of failure until achieving success at - guess what - giving talks and selling this advice. That's his only credential. Advice ranges from obvious (listen to people) to dubious (nod a lot so they know you're with them.) Pick up a book from a real authority on the subject like How to Win Friends and Influence People, or The Charisma Myth.
