The author tells his tale with witty inflection. This is an easy listen, while addressing a not so easy topic.

I loved this book from beginning to end. I listened to it over a weekend because I couldn't put it down. The story line was sadly relatable combined with amazing information and research on ways to see red flags prior to getting into an organization or if your in a toxic organization, how to address it.

Nice story telling with advice

Loved the story, voice acting, and advice and tips. The story moves along and grabs you in. I recognized a few of these behaviors in my own life. Nothing this bad.

Great Resource on How to Protect Yourself in the Workplace

This book is filled with stories from the author’s workplace and how toxic bad leadership can be to an organization. The author gives tips on how to protect yourself and an organization. It is a definite must read to anyone in the workplace.

This is a great gift for a college graduate

I wish I had known about this book two toxic workplaces ago. There are so many great tips and examples of identifying and surviving in a toxic workplace until you can find a healthier work environment. The audio version is great, but I am going to purchase the book to keep as a point of reference. This is the perfect gift for someone entering the workforce or someone in a toxic environment.

The story every leader dreads, but needs to hear

Pete Havel captures the classic institutional cancer... The Arsonist in the Office in the most realistic way. Leaders cannot cover their eyes and claim if you can’t see me I can’t see you. I recommend this book to anyone in a position of leadership so you can understand the absolute searing damage covering for a bad employee can be. Strong leadership is so important and the reasons for it are in every page of this book.

Pete is a great storyteller. Loved it.

The author is a great storyteller and is very open, honest, and vulnerable in his approach. There are many great nuggets in this book I wish I had known 25 years ago, but it's never too late to learn.

Great advice solid story

The story was great, the exaggerations were funny, but the ending of the narrators story left me wanting more? What happened to hazel and the firm? Did anything ever come of it?
