I thoroughly enjoyed this listen. I skipped book 2 in the series as this one grabbed my attention more. Great world building and made me more intrigued.

I loved this story so much ! Robert was my favorite and this was definitely my favorite story of the 3 !

A paranormals fight to survive and thrive

What happens when your family abandons you when ware still a teenager. Can you learn how to survive and also thrive in your new life? This is one young woman’s struggle to live and eventually become the woman she always wanted to be.

Looking forward to any additional books in this genre from this author and narrator pair.

Best of the series

This is Robert and Charlotte's story. Robert is a pack alpha (the scarred bestie to Morris and Adam) and Charlotte is a vampire who has been brutally discarded by her family. She has almost no vampire power and has embraced her humanity wholeheartedly (she's a barista, an animal shelter volunteer, and a student). In this world vampires are violent, flashy, narcissistic creatures who think themselves superior, so she is everything they aren't.

Like the rest of the books in the series, this one has some hateful family members and attacks on the heroine, but not quite as many. The thing that distinguishes this book from the others is the love. Robert is caring and devoted and doesn't doubt or leave the heroine for long, even though he's conflicted about her species. And thank god for that. That’s why I read these, for the romance, not unrelenting pain and misery. This is also the first book with pack politics, wolf - vamp lore, and wild synchronicities. 

The narration is great.

By far the best of the three books! I love how mature the main characters were. Clear about how they feel, sharing those thought while still having suspenseful plot twist!
