This is the story about the tiniest bee in the world who sets out to prove to her sister bees and her Mom, the Queen Bee, that she is just as capable of everything they do...and even better! One day, she will save the planet.
The day Bartley was born was a day that would be extremely shocking to Mom, the Queen Bee. She had thought one day she would have a very special little bee to keep for herself and name her Bartley. She had dreamed about this for years, but she wasn't prepared at all when she saw Bartley. In her dreams, there was a special bee that would be one she could call on to do things that the other bees could not do. Certainly, this couldn't be Bartley! This tiny Baby Bee was less than one-half the size of other baby honeybees, with little wings not long enough to fly and legs so short, she could never bring pollen home.
"Oh, my goodness!" thought Mom Bee. What am I going to do with this tiny thing? What will she be able to do? It was even worse when Mom Bee realized she had had to help Bartley out of her cell!
However, as soon as Mom Bee saw Bartley, she fell in love with her. She would make the best of the situation and said, "Bartley, come over here and stay close to me. I am going to teach you some things your sisters don't know." Bartley, was happy to know she would be with her Mom all the time...at least in the beginning! She would be learning and she would be thinking all the time about what she wanted to do. Uh-Oh. Trouble ahead!
Well, just hang around and you will see what Bartley is capable of, and the great adventures she'll take us on! She can't wait to meet you! But remember, she is fun, ferocious, and brave!
She's going to show them all what she can do!!!
