Fantastic!

I took a chance and bought this book, knowing nothing of the author or story. It turned out to be one of the best reads I’ve had in months. A captivating gem that forces reflection of one’s circumstances and that of others. A compelling story about environment, choice and consequence. I highly recommend this book!

Moving life story

Eloquent writing and beautiful story of the transformation of a beautiful human who’s life matters

Phenomenal

I actually bought the book to read but I lost it somewhere in Jacksonville, Fl. I wanted to keep reading it so badly I used one of my audible credits and downloaded it. The narration was great. Listening to Jarvis’s life made me realize how many young Black males end up in prison just by making that one decision which could have taken their lives in a different direction. He had choices and he heard the little voice telling him to get hell out of whatever the situation was but he choice the latter. I love how he is able to reflect and help others. I pray he gets off death row and one day become a free man and help other young Black boys and men headed down the path he traveled.

Heartbreaking moving, the eloquent way in which he spoke to his pain ,former life of crime, and childhood left my mouth ajar and my soul open.
