Good insight into the thoughts of an Autistic pers

I enjoyed this book, and learned a lot about Autism and how and why Autistic people think and act the way they do. I also learned a lot about cattle. Temples's life and success in her career, in spite of and because of her Autism, was amazing to learn about, and my admiration for her grew after learning more about her struggles.

Amazing!

Everyone should listen to this amazing story; I was left awestruck at what she has accomplished!
I will be looking for a full biography of her & looking to read some of the many books she has written.

Being different.

What an astonishing and enriching tale. While this biography of tells us the story of how a great mind was hidden behind the common misunderstanding of autism, the bigger story becomes apparent as Temple’s life shows us that without thinking different, the quality of all humanity suffers. Her love of animals may be her motivation but her mind’s persistence, her engineering focused brain and her ability to see simple solutions clearly may just have provided the push toward humane treatment of animals our industrialized farm system is heading toward. This story is both heartwarming and eye opening.

Insightful and educational

Watching the movie about Temple inspired me to listen to this book. I felt the book was excellent for giving a person insight into autism if you know of someone that has autism. It helped me to better understand why they do what they do. If we can understand their perspective on things, we can work together to accomplish any task, rather than being frustrated that they don't communicate 'my way'.

she mentioned that her frontal cortex was smaller than average and her visual cortex was 400%bigger than an average neurotypical brain.
