Fair warning.

I do like that the main characters are a little older, have real jobs and real life problems. Neither of them describe each others body as perfect. In fact I don’t think I heard the word perfect in the whole story. They are high school teachers, no one is a ceo, a billionaire, or a simpleton. Lots of the typical romance standards are missing which is nice. However be warned for those who need this warning. It is what they might call contemporary. The one sex scene (yes one) that is described is cringy. The modern day fear of sex crowd may like it but the back and forth description of what they want to do to each other and permission given for said act prior to the sex was bizarre and unreal to me. If you prefer a detailed sex scene you won’t get it here. There is also overtones through the whole story of climate change, transgender and other topics often called woke. This is shared to entice some and warn others for a more enjoyable listen.
I liked the narrator, yes she says a few words incorrectly but regional pronunciation could be the issue there.
I hope you like the story if you choose to listen. I won’t be trying more of this author if the reviews state her work is similar. I found the book as a while a bit boring.

Dade delivers another funny, delicious, heartfelt story. Her characters are perfect in their imperfection as their journey becomes your journey

Cute and enjoyable

I enjoyed most of the book and thought it was cute and easy to read. I'll read the rest of the series.

mediocre romance

This novel tried so hard. But it was just mediocre. It might have been better with a narrator who didnt frequently mispronounce words. I kept wondering how the mistakes were not caught and edited. There are so many better novels in thia genre, skip this one.

Beautiful Story of Love between two wound heart 💔 as they heal each other. Heartfelt and awesome Narration. Both Sweet and spice 🔥action. Nice listen.

Such a sweet, sweet story. I also loved that they were both in their 40s cuz, HEY, we’re not dead yet.

Great writing!

Great book, wonderful voice actor (aka narrator). This was the first Olivia Dade book I've read but it will not be my last! I enjoyed the writing very much! I love, love, loved the main male character! Although, the use of the word 'pedagogical' could have been a drinking game. lol

Narrator bothered me

I liked the story however the narrator would drag her ending words out which made this tedious to get through rather than bring joy. I just didn’t like her holding on to the words where it didn’t need it.
